Cirrus Initial Transition Training

The Cirrus Initial Transition Training course is designed to teach the unique operating procedures of the Cirrus aircaft for both normal and abnormal situations. The course is designed to take approximately three days to complete. Timely completion of this course is dependent on the performance and proficiency of the Cirrus pilot and completion of the required prerequisites.

Transition training does not constitute an FAA practical test, Flight Review, or Instrument Proficiency Check (IPC). If a Flight Review or IPC is desired, additional training time can be arranged.

The course incorporates effective and proven training techniques developed in conjunction with the FAA Industry Training Standards (FITS). Emphasis is placed on developing judgment, aeronautical decision making, risk management, and single-pilot resource management throughout the entire course through the use of scenario-based training.
