Associate in Applied Sciences: Aviation Flight Technology
Northwest Aviation College has developed an aviation degree program that allows the student to obtain the skills and knowledge necessary to gain entry-level employment in the aviation industry. The Aviation Flight Technology curriculum is designed for students who wish to pursue a career in aviation, whether as a Professional Pilot, Airport Manager, Aviation Safety Professional, or other aviation-related professional. Upon successful completion of this curriculum, the student will receive a diploma in the form of an Associate in Applied Science Degree in Aviation Flight Technology. This degree requires a minimum of 95 credits. At least 25 credits, including Flight Instructor (AVN 224) and Instrument Instructor (AVN 240), must be earned in residency at Northwest Aviation College. In addition, a minimum cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 2.0 on a 4.0 scale must be maintained.

All flight-related programs are basically divided into three parts with regard to financial investment: Tuition, Books/Supplies, and Lab Fees. The cost of tuition, books/supplies is fairly constant among students with the only difference being proration

Federal Student Financial Aid: In 2010, Northwest Aviation College was approved by the U.S. Department of Education as a Title IV school, which means we are able to offer federal student aid programs. Students now have access to federal financial support in the form of Pell Grants, subsidized and un-subsidized direct student loans., and Plus loans. The Standard Occupational Classification numbers are 53-2012 (Pilot, Commercial), 53-2011.00 (Airline Pilots, Co-pilots, and Flight Engineers), 53-2022.00 (Airfield Operations Specialist) and 25-1194.00 (Vocational Education Teachers, Post Secondary).
