Northwest Aviation College

History

Founded in 1969, and under current ownership since 1981, Auburn Flight Service continues to be recognized as a leader in providing aviation education and services in the Northwest region. Since its inception, the company has continued to grow both in its scope and complexity.

Recognizing the need for an accredited aviation degree granting institution in Western Washington, Auburn Flight Service founded Northwest Aviation College in 1992. Since that time, the College has continued to grow into the educational institution that it is today.

Today, Northwest Aviation College offers an Associate in Applied Science Degree in Aviation Flight Technology and three Professional Vocational Certificate Programs for Professional Pilot. Additionally, through partnerships with local high schools, the College teaches Aviation Fundamentals programs where high school students not only receive elective and math credit in their high school, but college credit for Private Pilot ground school through not only Northwest Aviation College, but local community colleges as well.

Northwest Aviation College continues to grow scope and complexity to this day, simultaneously fulfilling the goals and dreams of its students, and the needs of the aviation industry as a whole.
