****Closure of Northwest Aviation College/Auburn Flight Service****
Unfortunately, due to the current economic conditions, lack of student lending options, and recent changes in VA funding to veterans, the very difficult decision was made to close Northwest Aviation College and the flight-operations division of Auburn Flight Service. This closure is effective March 31st, 2012.
The College will continue to operate through the Winter 2012 quarter (ending March 24th), and continue to stay open through March 31st for any students needing to catch-up due to recent adverse weather conditions. All accreditation, authorization, and regulatory bodies have been notified, and the College is working closely with these entities, staff, and students, to ensure a smooth and orderly closure of the school.
The College is also working closely with local education institutions such as Clover Park Technical College and Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University to facilitate student transfers into their aviation programs. Additionally, local Part 141 flight schools have been contacted to help transition/enroll those students involved in non-college flight training programs.
