Get a Real World Education!
Northwest Aviation College specializes in the art of teaching people to fly. Whether your interest lies simply in getting a Sport Pilot or Private Pilot Certificate to enjoy the freedom of flight, receiving specialized training in tail-wheel or Technologically Advanced Aircraft such as Cirrus, taking mountain flying courses, attending a variety of aviation-specific classes, or enrolling into one of our collegiate programs to pursue a career as a professional pilot, we have programs that can be tailored to meet your individual needs.
You will learn to fly in varied weather conditions and around terrain ranging from the Pacific Ocean to the Cascade and Olympic mountain ranges. No, it's not always sunny with flat terrain in this area of the country - but then again, neither is the real world!
Military Benefits
Northwest Aviation College thanks our military service members and their families for their service to our country and the sacrifices they have, and are making on a daily basis. The College has many service members, both active and non-active duty, engaged in continuing their education with the majority taking advantage of the various Veteran's Administration (VA) benefits available to them.
The newest benefit is the "Post 9/11 GI Bill", or Chapter 33. This benefit can only be used at an accredited college such as Northwest Aviation College. The Chapter 33 benefit program pays up to 100% of your educational expense to include tuition, books/supplies, and flight training fees. This benefit can also be passed along to the service member's spouse or children.
On November 18th, 2009 at 7:30pm at Northwest Aviation College, our Vice President/Chief Flight Instructor (and Navy veteran), Shawn Pratt, will be holding an informational seminar discussing the Chapter 33 benefit. Additional staff will be on hand to work with servicemembers interested in enrolling for the Winter 2010 quarter. If you are interested in attending this seminar, please call the College to reserve a seat as space is limited. Additional seminars will be held if needed. Just call 253-854-4960. For more information about this benefit and others, go to: GI Bill.
