  3. Pilot Training: Launch Your Career

Get a Real World Education!

Northwest Aviation College specializes in the art of teaching people to fly. Whether your interest lies simply in getting a Sport Pilot or Private Pilot Certificate to enjoy the freedom of flight, receiving specialized training in tail-wheel or Technologically Advanced Aircraft such as Cirrus, taking mountain flying courses, attending a variety of aviation-specific classes, or enrolling into one of our collegiate programs to pursue a career as a professional pilot, we have programs that can be tailored to meet your individual needs.

You will learn to fly in varied weather conditions and around terrain ranging from the Pacific Ocean to the Cascade and Olympic mountain ranges. No, it's not always sunny with flat terrain in this area of the country - but then again, neither is the real world!

Welcome to Spring and Summer!

Flying in the great northwest this time a year is in a word, AMAZING!  The mountain ranges are still blanketed in snow and contrasted with deep blue skies.  All around the Pacific northwest numerous airports provide pilots with destinations like the San Juan Islands in the Puget Sound, Ranger Creek located on the side of Mt. Rainier in the Cascade mountain range, and Copalis State Airport where pilots actually land on the beach!

This is the time of year where our students, and others, come to Northwest Aviation College to enjoy flying in the beautiful northwest.  Why don't you come join us?
